MISSION STATEMENT : ADVANCE THE INTERESTS OF ARIZONA CHIROPRACTORSThe Arizona Chiropractic Society (ACS) is a non-profit state association for Arizona chiropractors founded in 1991. ACS works to strengthen and protect chiropractic, safeguard practice rights, provide effective representation at the Arizona Legislature, make needed changes in health insurance law and personal injury litigation, provide information regarding claims denials, IMEs and low speed impact biomechanical reports, and advise doctors who have had Chiropractic Board complaints and provide personal advice to chiropractors. Immerman, D.C. have enacted four insurance equality laws, fostered an atmosphere of "live and let live" in the chiropractic community, reigned in excesses by the Chiropractic Board, passed a vastly improved health care lien law, worked with the State of Arizona Department of Insurance to enforce existing laws, and more. ACS continues it tradition today by advancing efforts to achieve insurance equality and continuing efforts to reform the Chiropractic Board. Read what legislators have said about ACS here. BREAKING NEWS AND UPDATESJuly 18, 2010: ACS endorses new whiplash guidelines published in 2009 and accepted by the National Guidelines Clearinghouse (NCG): “Management of Whiplash Associated Disorders.” The guidelines were submitted by the ICAC. Guidelines accepted by NCG must meet stringent criteria and are accepted as authoritative. They are very comprehensive, fully referenced and available online through NCG at by clicking here. ACS is the only state association to have endorsed these guidelines and the ICA Best Practices. AZ Attorney General Terry Goddard, after a two year wait, has finally released a legal opinon stating that current discriminatory copayments and deductibles for chiropractic care are not illegal.
