The Arizona Association of Chiropractic proudly congratulates Dr. Ron Farabaugh on receiving the American Chiropractic Association’s Chiropractor of the Year Award, the ACA’s highest honor, presented during Engage 2026 in Washington, D.C.
This prestigious recognition reflects Dr. Farabaugh’s decades-long commitment to advancing the chiropractic profession through leadership, service, and rigorous, evidence-based scholarship. A nationally respected voice in healthcare integration, Dr. Farabaugh has played a pivotal role in elevating chiropractic’s position within modern, value-driven healthcare systems.
Most recently, Dr. Farabaugh served as a contributing author on the Clinical Practice Guideline for Best Practice Management of Pediatric Patients by Chiropractors, a landmark publication developed through an international Delphi consensus process. The guideline brings together leading experts in chiropractic, pediatrics, research, and public health to establish evidence-informed best practices for the care of infants, children, and adolescents.
The recommendations focus on critical aspects of pediatric care, including patient communication, informed consent, age-appropriate examination procedures, safety considerations, referral and co-management protocols, and health promotion strategies. Importantly, the guideline emphasizes ethical, safe, and responsible care while acknowledging current research limitations and the need for continued investigation. It provides chiropractors, educators, regulators, and the public with a clear, defensible framework for pediatric chiropractic practice grounded in the best available evidence.
In addition to his work on clinical guidelines, Dr. Farabaugh is also widely recognized for his systematic review comparing the cost of chiropractic care and medical care for spine-related musculoskeletal pain. This research is already shaping national conversations around value-based care, access, and the future of musculoskeletal health management, reinforcing chiropractic’s role as a high-value, patient-centered healthcare option.
Arizona chiropractors will have the opportunity to learn directly from Dr. Farabaugh when he serves as a featured speaker at the Arizona Association of Chiropractic Annual Convention, June 12–14, 2026. His insights into research, policy, and healthcare integration promise to offer timely and practical perspectives for today’s practitioners.
The Arizona Association of Chiropractic is proud to celebrate Dr. Farabaugh’s achievements and grateful for his continued leadership, scholarship, and advocacy on behalf of the profession.
Congratulations, Dr. Farabaugh — this national recognition is well deserved.
